Moon Martin - Hot Nite In Dallas

Moon Martin is maybe best known for writing the songs "Bad Case Of Lovin' You (Doctor, Doctor)" made famous by the English singer Robert Palmer; and "Cadillac Walk" made famous by the American singer Willy DeVille. Martin gained recognition in the 1970s as a pop artist and composer. He was given the nickname "Moon" because many of his songs had the word "moon" in the lyrics. He also scored two minor hits of his own with the song "Rolene" in 1979; and "X-Ray Vision" in 1982; which was an early MTV hit music video.

Here, Moon Martin and the Ravens, consisting of Jude Cole on guitar, Denny and Rick Croy on bass and drums and Jeff Fargus on keyboard, performes the song Hot Nite in Dallas, recorded at the Markthalle in Hamburg, Germany January 21 1981 .. keep rockin' Moon !!!

First saw him open for the Runaways back in 1978 and have been a fan ever since. Wish someone would post the video he made for X-Ray Vision. It's classic.

I have the privilege of being Moon Martin's tech for computer recording stuff. He is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. He is nothing but love. He was actually invited to join the Eagles once upon a time, but (if I remember the story right) Henley made it sound like a mostly country band so he turned them down.  I've tech'd for him for five years and just discovered these videos today....so awesome.
