I have a 92 400e in perfect shape all around. I mean perfect!!! But the trannys gone... I took out the tranny to see if I could fix it but it literally chewed itself to pieces. Its for sale if you know anyone who might be interested...

What maintenance? These cars are getting really cheap now because people are so scared of them. But there's no need to be. They were made back when MB reliability was still good but they're cheap enough now that they are starting to show up at the U-Pull-Its so parts are not a problem. The knowledge on how to fix them is on the web. I just recently bought a 95 for $575 running and driving that is in way better cosmetic shape than this one (not as fast though but it will be!)

Good God, man, a pumpkin in the mid 3s would make that car just stupid fast. I might just have to rethink that whole SBC thing, but then again, I probably couldn't afford the maintenance on that car, much less the purchase price!

This Benz has 2.24s in back. Those Dakota R/Ts came stock with 3.91s
Kinda hated beating up on that truck as I actually like Mopar 360s (5.9s) and I have one in my Flatbed tow Truck "Festus"

The Benz would have eaten the truck off of the line too if it wasn't equipped with an autobahn worthy final drive. Benz V8 cars rarely have anything steeper than a 3.06, and as low as 2.04 I believe. Anything 3.46 and over would be a beast!
