If you read the entire history of the case, step by step, there is nothing to be impressed about. Peter Sutcliffe was questioned on numerous occasions but was eliminated each time (even though he fit the description of one of the surviving victims AND he had the same shoe size as a print found at 2 of the scenes).Reason for elimination- the cops had received an anonymous tape recording of someone claiming to be the killer and he had a Geordie accent.
@valarmanwe, Yeah, I agree, it does impress me too. Did they take a statement from your dad? Like, where he was at the time of the killings & other stuff? Or did they just ask him if he knew of a truck driver in Yorkshire?
@Delboylover1997 No I wasn`t really worried. More nonplussed than anything. I remember the knock at the front door because they were looking for a man - a truck driver - in the Yorkshire area.
Looking back it impresses me just how thouroughly the police job was.
@valarmanwe, Wow. Were you worried? I would've been, I would have been terrified incase they accused my dad of being a serial killer. What would you do then?
My father was a dark haired, bearded truck driver at that time, and we lived in the Yorkshire area of England. I remember the police coming and knocking on our door one dark night, wanting to have words with him and eliminate him from their enquieries.
8:48 since when have truck drivers been middle class?

They all try to make it sound so clinical - If you haphazardly go about randomly killing people there is a simple explanation - You're nuts!!!
