There is absolutely nothing worse than the stress of the confinement in captivity..especially at LP which is even worse than most SW. As for them dying young, generally captive orcas live substantially shorter than those in the wild; that's 100% undeniable. Just because some orcas were born in captivity doesn't mean they belong there. I really don't see how you can justify that and there are plenty of marine biologists who are much more qualified than you or I that claim the same.

@milotjuh I don't think you realize the stress that would put on them besides the 5 orcas that do live at LP were born in captivity and Morgan was rescued. I'm sorry to tell you but orcas die young in the wild too there are some pretty old orcas in captivation they are no where close to the end of their life spans but Corky and Lolita are both almost 50.

@FutureOrkidTrainer They could easily be placed in a much larger sea pen.. preferably in a pod better suited for them, they certainly wouldn't die. If you want them to die young, keep them in captivity.
