Charlie's Angels - English version 1

Charlie's Angels is a television series about three women who work for a private investigation agency, and is one of the first shows to showcase women in roles traditionally reserved for men. The series was broadcast on the ABC Television Network from 1976 to 1981 and was one of the most successful series of the 1970s. Charlie's Angels was created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts and produced by Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg.Three women, the Angels, (originally Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett-Majors, and Jaclyn Smith) graduated from the police academy and were hired to work for the Charles Townsend Agency as private investigators. Their boss, Charlie (voiced by John Forsythe), is never seen full face — in some episodes he is shown from the rear only (where the viewer only sees the back of his head and his arms) — assigning cases to the Angels and his liaison, Bosley (played by David Doyle), via a speaker phone.

Ne sono stati trasmessi 115 episodi.In Italia la serie venne trasmessa per la prima volta sulle televisioni locali nel settembre 1979.Gli episodi sono centrati sull'attività di un'agenzia di investigazioni private - la Charles Townsend Investigations - per cui lavorano tre giovani donne aiutate da un assistente. Il capo, Charlie, non compare mai in volto - in alcuni episodi se ne intravedono da dietro la testa e le braccia - e contatta gli "angeli" solo per telefono o attraverso un magnetofono posto nell'ufficio. Nell'edizione originale la voce di Charlie è di John Forsythe.I tre "angeli" della prima serie sono Sabrina Duncan (interpretata da Kate Jackson), Jill Munroe (Farrah Fawcett, allora era anche Fawcett-Majors, essendo sposata con l'attore Lee Majors) e Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith). Nelle stagioni successive, con l'abbandono di Farrah Fawcett alla fine della prima stagione e di Kate Jackson alla fine della terza serie, i loro personaggi verranno sostituiti da Kris Munroe (la sorella di Jill, interpretata da Cheryl Ladd), e Tiffany Welles (Shelley Hack), che sarà presente fino alla fine della quarta serie, e poi sostituita da Julie Rogers (Tanya Roberts) presente solo nell'ultima serie.Jaclyn Smith è stata l'unica attrice a recitare in tutte le stagioni del telefilm insieme a David Doyle, interprete del personaggio di John Bosley, assistente e tramite tra gli "angeli" e Charlie.

Even though I was a child of the 80's I do have some recall of the late 70's.I can recall how HUGE this was.I still remember the tshirts,the posters,lunch boxs and all of it LOL.
