"The Satellite Years" (2002)

Lyrics:

i escaped the horizon
feeling nothing was the easiest existence
leaving a world of regret in a wake of flames
no flame ever burned as bright
i will not leave a martyr
no more eyes to frame my falls
i can't live life for closed hearts
joy left me that day
pulled from my hands as the robbed me of life
i am leaving earth
burning the past as i turn and wave goodbye
i am finally alive

  • man u guys are young 2002 i was 19 20 years old

  • Yeah those high school memories. Weird how this album filled the space of any direction at that age for me, along with all the chaos of growing up. And yet when i think of what album gives sound to a journey thorugh space perfectly, it is The Satellite Years. It just left me spinning and dreaming. I'm glad I saw them on this tour, along with Coheed when they released The Second Stage Turbine Blade. Fuck, nothing happens now like it used to.
