Russian Winnie-the-Pooh (episode 3 of 3, part 2 of 2) with new translation: A. Milne's original text was used where it was a close match.

This is one of the best examples of Soviet animation, loved by children and adults alike. Only three episodes out of planned nine were completed, and you can watch them all here.

Switch your YouTube player to HQ mode and enable Closed Captions (CC) to see English subtitles.

Below is "Winnie-Poohetry" for this episode:

VIII. The Same Opinion [New]

It's great to give a pot to friend
On Birthday time oc-ca-si-on!
And I, Eeyore, And I, Eeyore,
I'm of the same opi-ni-on!

How well, how great! Coincidence!
A very lucky chance!
We've found a pot for the balloon!
Returned the tail, now dance!
And I, Eeyore, and I, Eeyore,
Im of the same opiniore!

Its very pleasant when you hand
Gifts on a birthday, yes,
But to give Gladness to a friend
Feels better nonetheless!

And I, Eeyore, and I, Eeyore,
Im of the same opiniore!

And I, Eeyore, and I, Eeyore,
We're of-the-same-oh-pi-ni-ore!

  • @Metalhead15712: Thanks, I got it now! This is the correct spelling for direct speech of someone with nasal congestion ;) Try to hold your nose and pronounce the words - "n" becomes "d" and "m" becomes "b".

  • some of you english words and spelling are off, but other than that great job.

  • @Metalhead15712: Could you please post the words that are off and the correct spelling? English is not my mother tongue, so your help is appreciated!

  • Piglet is the cutest thing ever!! :D :D

  • @ilyabelkin exactly. Also some of the original signs contain lots of spelling errors and hence were translated accordingly,

  • This is so awesome. Thanks for uploading this!

  • Am I the only one who thinks the owl reminds me of Gus Gus from Cinderella?

  • @blackhole73 I like the old Winnie the Pooh, not the new one with some girl instead of Christopher Robin.

This is a good potrayal of Pooh and Piglet. Eeyore is good as well, but Owl's a girl-what's up with that?

I can't wait to see Tigger!

  • I don't get it why does every one i know say foreign country cartoons are horrible just because they are from another country? I like this way better then the American pooh lol.

  • i am Russian and i know English Russian and polish its amazing that my favorite Winnie the pooh returns i watched it when i was 2 years old and tears spilled down my cheeks when i watched !

  • i am learning russian, and watching this made me happy with myself when I could understand most of the 'goodmorning, how are you' scene at the beginning. sposiba!
