First week of operating the trommel...getting the bugs out and doing some sampling for high grade deposits. Deposit found at 7-8 feet depth...15 feet wide.

15 feet to bedrock from top of the water. Can't reach bedrock until fall, so we will mine the shallow deposit, which is reachable.

Mining on private property on Applegate drainage.

  • Hi me agian, i see you wrote the weight in there 1.5 ounces, i missed that last time. very good

  • Hi guys, too good, nice work. How far from the present day river are you working? and im dying to know how much those viles of gold at the end of the vid weigh? keep er up:)

  • nice little operation! id like to have one just like it

  • Great operation setup! Hey we would love you to submit an article on your gold mining in our November issue of Temerity Magazine. Submission deadline is Oct. 20th. Any questions just ask!

  • I agree w/ Outside the edge. I would experiment with a wider sluice box. Maybe a flared box with a 24" outfeed. Nice operation 8-)

  • is that a brothers trommel?

  • I'm not attacking, it was just my opinion.

  • @zlukin86

    1) They aren't on a river and creek, and the strict regulations set in place by multiple gov. agencies mitigate environmental damage. Erosion caused by this operation would be extremely limited.

    2) They found 1.5 oz of gold in a week, which is about $2,100-$2,200. Not exactly the best profit, but by no means are they spending more on fuel than what they recover in gold.

    3) Don't attack something you know nothing about on YouTube. You don't have a leg to stand on.

  • @zlukin86 Highly unlikely, enviro.

  • @kingotbMAN Looks closer to Provolt or Applegate, to me.
