She injured her right ankle sometime around 2004-05, and missed the next season. Everyone was shocked because we all looked forward for her to skate in the Torino Olympics. She came back in 2006-07 season, but wasn't able to jump like she used to. After months of consideration, she retired in 2008. She still has alot of fans and performs in ice shows, though. But she can only jump singles. Still, even without the jumps she's amazingly beautiful on the ice. I miss her so much....

I have no idea what balletic quality is, though, her skating certainly is beautiful. It stays as impressive at all even with the popped jumps.
How come we don't see her in any international competitions?

Hi,
I'd learned of her retirement after leaving the comment, but, not that much of the details. So painful to imagine how hard it must have been for her to let go of the hope for the Olympics and give up on her career when she had been that good with such a gift. She is to be missed. No wonder at all she still has lots of fans.
I look for the ice shows, thank you!
