This is amazing! I can't wait to try it myself! Brilliant use of a serger for a really fast quilt! This same joining technique would work whether doing squares or strips? Fastest reversible quilt I've ever seen! Thank you Kaye!!!

I love this technique and also the way Miss Kaye explains each step. What an inspiration!

All this speed ant then a hand stitched binding? Why not speed that process too. I use a fine line of basting glue (elmers' Washable School Glue or Roxannes) to fix the binding to the back side, just covering the stitching.Press carefully, then, from the front side, I stitch in the ditch, usually with a nice blanket stitch tiny zig zag or other decorative stitch... finishes pronto!

Great - one question... Would you consider "Warm N Natural to be a "thick" batting, and therefore need those larger seam allowances? There are so many different types of batting out there! Thanks again for the great youtube video!
Warm n Natural is not a thick batting. A thick batting for this quilt would be a high loft polyester.
