This is only a part of what Tripura Police in the name of protecting law and order did. They manner in which protestors, common people and even media was manhandled are the best example of what respect Tripura Police has towards human right. In broad daylight in the heart of Agartala city the barbaric manner in which half a dozen police man armed with baton attacked unarmed individuals revels what they must have done in the name of counterinsurgency to the people living in the hills of the state. It seems as if the state is at war. A day ahead of the incident the DGP has announced during a press conference that he 'has been instructed' to conduct smoothly the Common Entrance Test which a political part was protesting. This only proves that the security force was aware of the fact that there may be some gathering and mob has to be kept under control. The police authority had water cannons with which it could have easily dispersed the mob but did not rather police preferred baton charge. More than 80 people were injured including 11 media people. Thanks to the authority for there is no human right organization in the state to monitor the activities of the security force. Probable that is one of the reasons why the state can boast that it has successful in curbing insurgency in the state without any human right violation.

it is utterly inhuman and the culpits should be booked under the appropriate sections of law. I hope somebody also report them to the Human rights Commission. It is utterly ridiculous that a democratic possession have been ruthlessly culled under the premises of law and order.

Its seems that it was pre-planned by DGP of police after getting a pinch from the govt. He is trying to blind the govt., people and the journalist. Politics is beyond the scope of common people and bureaucracy is beyond the scope of politician sometimes. And when bureaucrats becomes politician then the life of common people become hell. The same is happening in Tripura. Don't know who and how it is going to be solved.

The people are bitten by the police are innocent so they must go for an action and ask the government (cause police ll not help u) what to do now and will gov take any action, and when it will be taken.
