  • do you mean we sing it like a gay man would?

or do you mean we sing it stupidly?

if it's the latter, please just use the word stupid instead of gay.

it's very offencive to gay people when you use the word gay to mean stupid.

  • Uhhmmm, their pronounciation of the vowels are really wrong. There is a "music language" that all music should adhear to.

    =[

    Like, they say "lAAAH-MIIIN-TAYYY-SHIIIN"

When it's supposed to be "LAOh-mehn-teh-shOn"

    And when they say "CREEE-AYE-SHIIN"

    It's supposed to be "Creh-eh-shOn"

    The list goes on...

  • taller vowels, PLEASE!!!

  • It says MAYO high school... MAYO

  • My choir sang this in a much faster tempo. It sounds really boring singing this slowly.

  • I love this song but their vowel shapes are really off and the sopranos are pushing the high notes.

  • They pronounce long i's too much, and the part where they say lamentation was painful for me (just an opinion) and I have a question: is tumult pronounced "TOO-mult," because we're doing this and we pronounce just the way it looks lol my teacher hasn't corrected us, so I wasn't sure...

  • Our choir is doing this piece for our concert tomorrow.

and this is how it was written its suppose to be upbeat.

  • @duckduckchoirduct

    1) *offensive

    2) perhaps she meant the song was too upbeat?

  • @workinprogressforHim why thank you :)

this was part of my freshman year in this choir :)

  • They don't sing it stupidly or like a gay man would. They sing with passion and good diction and musicianship. Nice blending and intonation! Great job! Special props to the guys of the choir!

  • You seem to miss my point altogether, it might be melodious, but the original ppoint of the song, with the same words as Enya, I'm sure, are that in spite of all that's bad in the world the human spirit strives to overcome and sing in spite of all difficulties. Enya is a professional singer of repute, so compared to an amateur group she should win hands down, but that doesn't detract from their performance.
