S.F.C. from the 1990 album "A Saved Man (In the Jungle)". It features a well known sample from Creedence Clearwater Revival.

SFC stands for Soldiers for Christ. The crew consisted of Super C, QP and DJ Dove.

DJ Dove later started another crew called Gospel Gangstaz. Super C went on to make solo albums under the names Super C and Sup the Chemist and also produced projects for Dynamic Twins and Freedom of Soul.

  • I have been searching for this stuff for a long time! This was the second rap album I ever had. The first one was DC Talks first album. But this one was the better album by far!!! Thanks for posting!

  • Love this song! I love how they sampled CCR's Down on the Corner. Supa C is so talented and unashamed about this faith!

  • dopest rapper ever christian or otherwise

  • haven't heard this in over a decade. thank you so much for this.

  • I bought "A Saved Man" in 1990 on cassette and it blew me away. The first rap record I bought was a 12" vinyl of Rapper's Delight in 1979... I loved Grand Master Flash and Run-Dmc but SFC combined my love of Rap and faith in an album (A Saved Man) where every song was well written, articulate, had good music, and great samples. The song Transformed on Listen Up is in my top 5 Rap songs of all time. Bless You all for the GREAT music! Bless all of us in his name, Amen

  • @Rawk4Life It's awesome, though a little rough comapred to "Saved Man"... trying to find myself a copy as we speak! :D

  • I wasn't aware of that album, but that's cool.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I've been looking for this for so long and have only just come across it!! Man it takes me back!! :D :D

  • @Rawk4Life not that it makes much difference, but "Listen up" was SFC's first album, if I remember correctly.

  • I wouldn't go that far. He was a pioneer of Christian rap, but is not the sole inventer of it. Michael Peace and Steven Wiley out date his status by approximately 4 or 5 years each. Steven Wiley released the first ever Christian rap album (Bible Break) in 1985, and Michael Peace followed two years later with "RRRock it Right." In 1988, P.I.D. released "Here We Are," which was the first Christian rap album by a group. SFC's first album (A Saved Man) didn't drop until 1990.

  • THIS TAPE...SOWED A SEED FOR JESUS TO COME INTO MY LIFE...
