Veteran Living in Anti-Gun Chicago Kills Intruder

An elderly veteran bought a shotgun after being robbed by three armed criminals earlier in the year. Living in anti-gun Chicago, he was forced to use that shotgun to save his life. This shooting, plus another recent defensive shooting in Chicago, has citizens angry that self-defense is illegal in Chicago.

These videos, plus stories from TheArmedCitizen.com, prove Chicago's mayor Daley's ignorance; criminalizing self-defense will never stop hoodlums, and will only hurt law-abiding citizens.

Burglary, not robbery. Robbery is the same as mugging. Burglary is entering and stealing from a building.

i'm confused. The description says the old man used a shotgun.  But the ditzy newscaster asks at the end "will he be given a citation for violating the HANDGUN ban". Maybe the liberal gun banners dont know the difference between a shotgun and a handgun???

@AntaresInScorpius I noticed the same thing. If he had a shotgun, THAT'S the only reason they didn't charge him. My understanding is that the ban is specifically on handguns.

I feel sorry for Chicago residents because like they said the criminals have guns they dont care about them being illegal because well they are criminals and it puts the citizens at risk for not being able to rightfully defend their lifes

Another great "Armed Citizen" story. It's extremely important to keep in mind that it's the elderly and infirm who MOST need to have some good means (like firearms) to protect themselves. Guns are a great promoter of human rights because they MOST help those who need the MOST help!
