Dude I hate to say it but that helmet wasn't fitted right for you. It is Sitting far to high on your head and I am seeing too much of your fore head. That is why you are have vision limitations.
Hmm rudder in the wind? Maybe work your neck muscle a little more?
The Front vent is supposed to go over the visor for fog free not your head.
Again I think most of your issues come from a poor fitting I would suggest getting fitting help for you next helmet.

Can't all agree with this review. My RSI (Dual Hologram) is way better than my Icon Mainframe, which is also a lot loader. Granted peripheral vision isn’t the best, but when you ride, if you’re not moving your head, then you’re a road kill waiting to happen! I use this helmet for my 40+ minute daily commute to work on the German Autobahn for 2+ yrs! Still have not experienced that ruder effect that he’s referring to. Also, my Scala Rider G4 fits perfectly in my helmet, and doesn’t bother at all.

Dude, I TOTALLY Agree with you, I have had my RSI also for a year now, and its CRAP! I also will never be buying a SHARK ever again! Wind Noise is BAD, Visor Flips open by itself when you turn your head to look behind you, and padding lasts less than a year then the helmet becomes much looser than it was the day you bought it. I just bought a VEGA helmet 1/6 th of the price, same comfort, same freakin wind noise! Both Parrot cages! lol

The first time I wore mine in the rain the coating on the visor started to peel off.
I spoke to shark to let them know and to ask if there may have been a faulty batch of visors and they basically fobbed me off.
Considering that I can purchase a cheap replacement helmet for the same cost as a shark replacement visor it's needless to say that I wont be buying a Shark helmet ever again.

@opmike343 what application was it meant for.....to pot plant in?
I agree with the reviewer.....changing lanes while wearing this helmet is a lucky dip as you can't easily see over your shoulder without turning your whole body.

That Shark is an amazing helmet for long oval head shapes. The reviewer in this video bought the wrong helmet for the wrong application; simple as that.

I watch a lot of videos and this one is a great review helped me not waste 150 bucks thanks :) Its a shame we don`t have more rider helmet reviews .

You bought the wrong helmet for your use. period.

That's what I call reviewing a product.. Thanks for info that is actually usefull!
The "R" series from Shark is for racing or Sportbike applications. That is why your periphery is limited in the upright riding posture that your motorcycle requires. You should try a helmet from Shark's "S" series which I think stands for "Street" and of course the "R" stands for "Race". I've owned this helmet for over a year and never experienced any of the problems you mentioned in your vid. I'll give you the chin vent one, it does only let air onto the shield and not your face.

@quikblack350 Good to know, I wish the dealer would have told me that

true, his helmet is WAY too large, the reason he complains about crosswind and vision limitations is because its too loose on his head. If hes head was firmer in there with a size smaller he probably has a lot more peripheral vision
SO thats why shops have to advice there customers correctly about correct sizing

@caparzo2142 . The helmet does not move, and has pretty good pressure all the way around. If I were to be a gum chewer the sides would press my cheeks into my teeth. I did buy it from a actual Shark dealer, they did size it and spend about an hour getting the right size for me.. I looked at them later and it almost appeared that the shells are the same size and they just add foam for size adjustment. BTW. The helmet sits lower when I am actually riding and not talking to the camera.

@motojeff i have the same thing XD, i dont shew any bubbelgum anymore cause i start shewing my cheeks instead, but that normal with a good fitting helmet, they actually have to be pressed in quit good. but yeah, maybe a good choise to take another brand next time that fits you better, my RSI fits perfect for me and i dont have any of the problems you mentioned. but thats just me, ride safe ;-)

@caparzo2142 LOL,,, I dont chew gum either, that was a hypothetical. Unfortunately I was unable to take the helmet back - they dont allow returns on helmets. As I said in the video, I still think that it is the safest helmet I have ever owned. I wear it on all of my road trips and do like it. But I was trying to point out some of the problems I have experienced with this helmet. BTW our local police department are now using the Shark EVO... Pretty cool
