My very first laps at The Edge in an 80ies C-prototype, best lap 1:20,6

This is a computer game/race simulator, called GTR2. Both track and car are mods, i.e. not included in the original game, but downloaded from
http://nogripgracing.com

Track: 'The Edge' originally made for another simracing game 'rFactor' by MadCowie, converted to GTR2 by Khan1670
Car: 'Lancia LC2' from the 'C-ERA'-Gruop C mod by WizardofOz
Best lap time: 1:20,616

My very first steps at the newly converted The Edge track, this is done with an old steering wheel - Guillemotte Thrustmaster Ferrari FFB, with partly malfunctioning brake pad and shift pad for gear, as you might recognize.

Moreover, this is none-so-ever an optimal car setup, I bet lots of you guys could give me an advice on car setup. With more familiarity to the track, optimal steering wheel and setup, a sub 1:18 time in this car would be realistic, I think.

Nota bene: This is my first ever youtube-upload and first ever use of FRAPS, so please bear with me...Fraps raw data was comprimized to wmv9 with TMPEG. Feel free to make suggestions for better output form, thanks.

  • nice video!does this game has some relationship with r-factor??

  • @nitrokid125 You could say that indeed. GTR-2 and rFactor have shared roots in an engine developed by ISI (Image Space Incorporation), which is quite old, developed almost 20 years ago. Though, there are differences - GTR2 is a SimBin product - together with GT Legends, Race07, GTR Evolution and so on, while rFactor is a pure ISI product. Therefore, many simracers regard rFactor as a more 'clean' simracing game.
