  • I now know the problem. It was sitting unused for quite a few years and the carburetor was not primed. I primed the carb by pouring some fuel in, and it sputtered. Soon thereafter the starter rope snapped off, so I will have to rewind it...

  • where do you buy your gloves for starting a chainsaw, they look really good i want a pair, so stylish.

  • they are just regular cotton gloves I got at Wal-Mart

  • It is indeed the ignition system. I pulled the starter and I do not have a spark although there is voltage on the line. The ignition coil is corroded but it's positioned in such a tight spot that I would have to take the saw apart to access/replace it.

  • New updates: I cleaned the coil and now the saw has spark. I'm going to attempt to get it to fire by priming the engine by spraying fuel into the carb air intake.

  • @TheRealDhampir thats a bit extreme

  • that is a pice crap

  • this dude is an idiot u really can tell he doesnt work around tools alot , and wats with those gloves hes afraid hes gonna get blisters and then get fired from his desk job, hahaha i love white colour workers these days, and the smaller mccolluchs u dont start on the ground u gas with your right hand and pull with your left, i hate people that make good machines look bad, and stupidity is curable with a fist

  • hi iv got an eager beaver 2.o same as you and it was siting the in ma garage for 3 mounths andi did 10 pulls and i was like wat a peace of shit so i lock the gas in and then another 3 pulls and away she went

  • oh well nvm then yeah i totally agree with you old macs and homelites and such reighned supreme now no more than cheap saws. sad thing

  • i dont know if they're made under liscence by someone else for the uk, but honestly the build and material quality is shockingly bad - more like a crap, cheap toy than a useable tool. Good once doesnt mean good forever!

  • wow now that is stupid lol before stihl was a big name here in the us mcculloch and a few other companies ruled the timber industry. dont blame the saw when i first saw it i knew had to be the carb dont let somebody who doesnt check out his saw first make a good saw look bad. i own 3 of those saws and they all run like a top. the 3rd pull everytime they start and thats after they been sitting for a while.

  • Man I would have thrown that sucker over the fence. Like the LR which brought back alot of memories. If you keep it, prime it next time.

  • that was so f...ing funny. my neighbor gave me one.. and it only took me 5mins to figure out why.. all mac 110's are good boat anchors cause i launced my into the lake..lol
