  • @chompachangas this is an anglo concertina. if you look into a duet concertina they're typically played with melody in the right hand and chords or accompaniment in the left. so you could get by playing a lot with only using your right hand.

  • @chompachangas - With the "normal" C/G Anglo layout (for Irish music), the left pinky plays the F#, and the ring finger plays the D. If you had a G/D, much more of the range of most fiddle music would be on the right hand. I'm not sure how that works (I play C/G) but they use G/D a lot for English music, which is sort of in the same range.

  • can a concertina be played proficiently if you're missing your ring and pinky fingers on the left hand?
