A video of SGT Rick DeMarco, my friend, buddy, Vietnam Veteran brother that received his Navy Commendation Medal with a "V" for VALOR 21 years late at the Cleveland, Ohio Vietnam Veterans Homecoming. It was 1988 and the country was trying to made amends to Vietnam Veterans for the dishonorable treatment and homecoming the Nam Vets received after they did their Nation's bidding in South Vietnam. Rick passed away this past May 2009, from a cancerous brain tumor. Rick faced his death like he did life and his duty in Vietnam, with pure GUTS and always putting others and their best interests ahead of his own even as he took his final breath. All those that knew you miss you so much, Rick, and we will never let your memory nor all the good works you did to help your fellow Veterans and so many others be forgotten!

  • A truly rare man! The world was a better place with him in it...and now that he's gone....Heaven sparkles a bit more!

  • This is not Christian, this is Joe, a very close friend of Rick's and fellow Vietnam Combat Veteran. My wife and I miss Rick very much, he was TRULY one of a kind and the best "true friend" anybody could have in life. Thank You.

  • That is a beautiful legacy to you and your family Christian .

. Being from Northern Ireland , I Understand the fight and the fact that people are put to the side. People should be recognised for the change and sacrafice .

    God Bless em mate

  • That is so awesome. Rick DeMarco was a complete gentleman and a class act. America needs more men like Rick Demarco now a days....They dont seem to exist no more and thats sad....

  • are you talking about 3/1 out of camp pendleton? Camp Horno I think? My buddy was in the same unit in Falluja in Iraq 2004. Combat wounded and declared KIA (late ron a better corpsmen upgraded him to alive)
