yea some phones can do it without hacking them or installing apps. i think sony ericsons can do that but i'm not sure.

I used the program called Bluetooth Remote Control. If you search Google for that it should be the first result. It's a trial so if you want to use it beyond the trial limitations you have to buy the full version.
