  • The end result of a socialist (albeit national) utopian experiment. Whenever people concede their basic rights in exchange for the promise of a perfect world there runs the risk of this happening.

  • My father was with the 3rd Armored Division when they liberated the camp. In fact he is in this video for a few seconds at 1:14 on the right side of the frame helping an inmate onto a stretcher.

    Photos from this film taken by the US Army Signal Corps were used in a book called Hitler's Heirs published in the late 50s or early 60s.

    The men of the 3rd Armored Division were not only fighters but also compassionate to the abused and the ones that could not help themselves.
