Video Description:

Just threw this together today. Nothing too spectacular or lengthy but I know I've been slacking lately haha. Let me know what you think! (Sorry the video is kinda dark, Youtube tends to make some of my videos darker than what they really are) And if you think you've heard this before in one of my other videos, you pretty much have. It's basically my old video "Metal Harmonization" but spiced up and more catchy.

Tabs (Some)

I believe this was Drop B tuning...I'm pretty sure it's just the 3rd string...7-10-9-12-7-10-9-12-14-12-10-9-12-10-9-5 for the main part, then harmony is 10-14-12-15-10-14-12-15-17-15-14-12-15-14-12-9 on the same string.

  • hey thats a really nice intro but i recommend you copyright it because there are alot of lazy musicans and bands who will just be like hey thats a nice intro its ours now and i would hate to see something like this stolen

  • @Thatbassplayingguy Thanks man, I will be copyrighting my band material...as for the riffs I have on here, there's not too much I can do, copyright or not, there will always be someone out there that will have a piece in one of their own songs, nothing to kill myself over, it would be pretty sad if someone blatantly used my stuff instead of coming up with their own, where's the fun in that...where's the POINT lol. But thanks for caring!

  • this is metalcore as fuck, but its still badass....wouldnt call it epic, but then again my standards are very very high

  • @grimmenigma949 Yeah it was pretty metalcore, but the riff is now in my band's song Stargazer Syndrome, which is melo death.

  • SOOOOO CORE :/

  • @splatcrash at the time yes, but now I incorporated it in a melo death song "stargazer syndrome" that I wrote..listen to it on my band's pages located on my main page

  • @Thatbassplayingguy You always have your copyright to your own stuff, you don't have to "save" it or anything... well at least it's like that in Germany :P

  • @Thatbassplayingguy Yeah i see your point. but as long as he have it dated before it's fine. But still theres always someone that gonna play the same riff, just so it works. A instrument only have that many tones that fit together. If u hear something today doesn't mean u remember it in 5 weeks and u get a good riff going. Happens to me all the time then I realize AHHH thats Ophet. Dident mean anything bad.

  • I can hear Lunar Strain in Flames vocals over that riff =]

  • @skoneintex yes cuz i've totally heard Green Day use the Number Of The Beast Riff. It can sound as close as you want but as long its not note for note its fine but lets say your Iron Maiden and you write Run To The Hills would you not be annoyed if somebody stole it and made millions off it? i'm just trying to protect this guy

  • dude, what if you can put Ambient with Melodic Death metal riff. that would be epic. and can you put a melodic scale to show. like showing how to do it? because I can't really find a good vid for it and you are good and one of the best so far with amking it your own sound. like how do you do it?

  • @Thatbassplayingguy

So u mean the bands u listen to never play they same rif as a nother band. CMON they all have a rifts that sound the same just face it.
