Before "The Donna Reed Show" [1958-1966] domesticated her "permanently" in the public mind, sultry Donna dazzled in six rousing Western films in the 1950s, co-starring with genre stalwarts like Randolph Scott, Rock Hudson, Philip Carey, Dana Andrews, Charlton Heston, and Richard Widmark. This video showcases her beautiful appearances and earnest performances in every film.

Donna Reed won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as the prostitute Alma "Lorene" Burke in FROM HERE TO ETERNITY (1953). Donna was a versatile actress—charming as sweet Mary Bailey or sparkling Donna Stone, but capable of so much more dramatically.
