Amtrak Phase 1 heritage locomotive #156 leads the P050-17 through the small town of Thurmond, West Virginia as it heads east for White Sulphur Springs and Lewisburg, W. Va., Clifton Forge, Charlottesville, and Staunton, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, PA, and New York City.

  • How busy is that line through Thurmond? CSX, Amtrak, and RJ Corman are all there, right?

    Great catch!

  • @csxketh1 It was dead as a doornail when we got there this morning. Corman wasn't moving and CSX stopped an empty just short of the crossing.

  • Real nice work there . . making the most of the sun angle. ( I was also hoping you'd pan to the rear coach as the train passed, but sun may have ruined your view . . )
