  • Transcendental music. Horace and Andy Bey is a killer combo. Love.

  • @BuckshotLaFunke Sorry you feel that way, mate. When I first bought this album on vinyl many years ago,I paid much more attention to the music than the lyrics, and I was generally of a more cynical bent. But having listened to these sides again(the three volumes of "The United States of Mind")I find them to contain a tremendous amount of wisdom, and simple, practical, positive advice. The best thing about them is that they do not endorse any particular Faith, other than that of the human mind&spirit

  • @rj2046 oh! I actually work at 91.9 FM which is a jazz station in Atlanta. And I know that Stefon Harris album very well. I get my name from the Bobby Hutcherson album and song "Montara" which I use as my bed music (the music I talk under when I'm on the air) I love the song and my listeners seem to ask me to play it in full ALL the time!

    Cheers to you!

  • MissMontara - I the JAZZ.FM.91 I refer to is in Canada. I listen via internet. Thanks for commenting and bringing me back to this song again on this cold snowy day in CT. Coincidence, - Montara is the name of the last song on the Stephon Harris album "Evolution". - A very artistic and creative Vibes player. cheers!

  • @rj2046 -when you say JAZZFM91-do you mean the station in Atlanta?

  • @rj2046 thanks for the info!!

  • I need the lyrics to sing it with my band. Is someone so kind to help me writing it in a private message? Pleeeeeease =')

  • From a JAZZFM91 DJ, "He wrote his own lyrics so that he didn'r have to share royalties", i.e, made more money. This is a favorite daily listen of mine. I did a doubletake when i heard it piped in over the MUZAK in our local mall. Kudos to that music selector

  • Horace wrote his own lyrics

  • do you know who has written the lyrics for the song??
