@ace19428 I agree but the point of this game was to show that jsut becuase you're an FCS team doesn't mean you're no good like most FBS college fans want you to believe.

@piratesmvp What you're talking about is the old 1-A and 1-AA classifications. Agreed that it's not Division II, but there's a pretty big difference between 1-A and 1-AA. It's a really big upset because Michigan has been a perennial Big 10 challenger and possible national championship team.

@HereGoneStay Appalachian State is not a division II team. They are division I just like Michigan. Division I is divided into 2 subconferences: Football Bowl Subconference and Football Championship Subconference. The FBS plays all those bowl games in January that everyone watches. The FCS has a national playoff and one national champion. This was an upset because D-I FBS is supposed to be better than D-I FCS teams.
