@PDVideoSheetMusic I think a Midi-playing computer will never ever get to the point of this piece. This is not a question of instrument choice. There are many 'real' performances of this piece on YouTube, you could try listening to one of them and find the diffferences.

@jewelleryfreak You do realize this is a suicide song and is supposed to unsettle you...right? Without the lead it's very naked and disturbing...imagine the painting "The Scream", without a main character, just weird colours and a swirly background...it would be kinda ugly. I like my instrument choices because with the sliding harmonies, it really highlights the 'slipping' into madness quality of someone about to commit suicide.
