You must not know about the Chaparral 2D or 2J. The 2D won its first attempt at the Nurburgring 1000k and the 2J was so good its design was outlawed.

@wez1to2 1960s racing tyres. I'd guess Dunlops but I could be wrong. Tyre companies still make batches of 'old racing tyres' every so often to keep the historic racers going.
