A Very Happy Van live on US TV with a swinging version of Moondance. Copyright lyrics and music Exile. Originally on the cd/album :Moondance" and later on the double live cd/album "It's too late to stop now" and the double live cd "A night in San Francisco" and here on the fantastic jazzy cd "How long has this been going on" Van Morrison with Georgie Fame & friends" 1996. PS there was also a fantastic version on "Edinburgh Castle" Van Morrison with the BBC Big Band (never released)

If any of you knew anything about this song, you would know the band started the song twice as fast as it should be played. This left Van absolutely no room to groove with his voice or even get the words out. This was clearly who ever clicked off the start of the song time's fault. Van Morrison was clearly upset, but what could he do?

Some people expect Van to sing it exactly as it was on the original record, wouldn't that be boring especially when you've been doing it for 40 years! Van is Van, his voice is unique and unmistakeable. He's not a puppet or a 1 hit wonder who goes around performing the same year after year, he is a unique individual.

BRILLIANT! He's sung it a million times, at least he's having fun with his own song, I just love it!!
