The high note is great BUT the entire piece flows from him with utter ease and eveness which not all other great tenors could command so consistently.

Perhaps he was human after all?! That is not a high C he sings! After high C, comes Cflat. Then High D. Then high Dflat. It's a high Dflat, for christ sake, how many singers - apart from Kraus - can attack this so instantly?

Jussi Bjorling is a case of intervention from on high--way high. Even when you listen to him sing as a young child in his family quartet you can hear that magnificent lead voice probably asking: "Is this what you want?" Bet no one knew anything "special" about voice and opera singing so they must have just sat there enthralled by his eagerness to finish every song they requested. I personally don't believe he was from this planet. Or there would be thousands like him.A thousand Jussi's?
