American Idol 7 audtions: Soul and Blues came out on top !

The auditions are still underway on Idol as we head into week two.

Some we're good, not so good and downright funny to see ! Who caprtured your ears and eyes ?

I found these two singers to be by far the best. From Cali and South Carolina, one jazz singer and one with notes of the blues in her tone surprised us all.

but i've actually met london. she's my teacher's daughter in law. she came in the class room and sung for us along with her husband lance and brother in law gill. she's really sweet. she should have made it.

I always wondered why London did not make the top 24. Perhaps it was a close call ? Without discrediting what you said because as a friend you obviously know her story - I wonder if perhaps she was to similar to others they had allready chosen or they just changed their minds and picked someone else last minute ? With only 24 spots and over 100 people it's a tough choice for them to make. However she sure had alot of talent, thanks for the posting.

I'm actually friends with London.They really do pick who's leaving and who's staying before the next round of auditions. She was told at her audition in Hollywood that she did not make it through. She received her plane ticket but then called the airport to change the time of her flight. They told her that she could not change the flight because it was booked for her a week before. That was before her audition in Hollywood. I wonder...

I'm actually friends with London. We went to high school together and she was always so talented. Anyway, she was really upset after she was cut from AI because she found out that they really do pick who's leaving and who's staying before the next round of auditions.

As an accomplished traditional jazz musician, none of them were in the style of jazz, but rather R&B.
