Spinning RGB LED Ball II

It's a ball of LEDs that spin, real fast.

Unlike it's predecessor this one has three axes. It was very challenging to build, with a total of 9 slip-contacts, not including the motors. I made it from scrap I had laying around and it took about a week to build. I use standard DC-motors controlled with pulse width modulation, the LEDs are controlled with a modified bike light with adjustable frequency. I'm very sorry about the quality, my camera can't keep up and it makes a lot of flicker that isn't really there, and the LEDs oversaturate the image.

Dude this is so sick! What type of slip-contacts did you use? Any other bearings involved or just the slips?

Brass for the slip-rings, the brushes are made of graphite (pencil lead). Ball-bearings for the vertical and horizontal axis.

So I built one for myself, except when it got up to top speed, it began to shoot lightning to all corners of the room and there was a bright flash. Now I hear strange voices that don't sound human, I think they want something, but i can't make out what exactly. They don't stop talking, Oh god, make them stop.
