  • I was recently diagnosed with Aspberger's

  • for those of you who dont believe this is real it is. my son who is 13 now has aspergers, he is a great kid,has a verbal IQ of 140 he is smarter than me, his problem is in social situations and empathy. our friends had a dog he loved very much and the dog got cancer and we went to say our goodbyes, when the dog died while we were there, everyone cried xcept him. he asked well you will get another one right? he cannot process emotions like we do, he is socially isolated, good he cant, hurts less

  • I disagree about the empathy problem. I have the same disorder, yet I can feel exactly what others feel. Like, I might be eating lunch when I feel I might faint, and right behind me somebody's having an asthma attack. Given these hell like experiences, I think i just have too much empathy. That's why I like solitude, cause it let's me know what I feel, not what some random person feels. Others might feel differently, but this is my life so let me keep my personal facts.

  • @Wilsondano1 that is true, its "a different way of thinking" the problems that it causes are mainly in human interaction and social life which often causes isolation.

  • not a real disease

  • @HDaviator thank you for explaining.

  • @ProJanitor

I heard someone call it Social Dyslexia. Which I guess makes a bit of sense. Its basically an inability to know how to "deal" with people. A normal person like yourself can, for example, talk to anyone without any problem on how to react with that other person. The thing is, its autism, so its an actual problem within the brain. I never knew I was different until I was diagnosed. Until then, you think everyone is the same as you. There is more to it than that though.

  • @HDaviator i don't have a clear understanding on wtf it is exactly.

  • @ProJanitor

Yeah... I fucking hate having this shit but I thought the same thing when I was told of the name. I laughed my ass off.
