"Lika's Lullaby", composed and performed by Debbie Center

I recently composed this piece of music while staying in the beautiful lake home of a friend. Lika (pronounced LEEka) is their Samoyed, who I was dog-sitting for a few days. Lika normally doesn't like piano music, but she was happily snoozing at my feet while I composed this piece, so "Lika's Lullaby" it is! Imagine, in your mind, the view I had while composing this piece. The piano in their guest house overlooked fields of flowers and huge pine trees. I could see their amazing log home and the beauty of the lake. I could hear their wind chimes gently ringing in the breeze, loons calling to me from the lake, and bald eagles soaring overhead. What a perfect spot to write music!
