this song and the photos, it reminds me of the sadness I felt just a few months ago when i watched the "the Karen Carpenter Story" in you tube,..the day that she became my ultimate favorite singer!!!love and miss her so much!!

I've just listened to about 10 versions of this song including two versions by Skeeter Davis who had the first hit with it, and Karen Carpenter owns this song. It's so soothingly legato. It's as if she didn't even have to breathe.

I've always wanted to see details of Karens choker necklace and now I can see it's made of graduating sizes of diamonds. Thankyou so much! One of my favorite songs too (I know, I always say that no matter what Carpenter song is chosen).
