May I suggest to you, that this is the epitome of the raison d'etre of the species - I am in LOVE with these lyrics, their sensibilitites, and the hope they offer
Heard them on the Michael O'neil show Whose Bd Now. Had to see them because they sound so good. Reminded me of a mother daughter duo about twenty years ago...the Judds. Life was good, two kids in the back seat heading to the mountains.
My wife and I saw them last night at the Outpost in the 'Burbs in Montclair, NJ and they performed this song as their encore. Instead of doing it on stage, however, they came down to the middle of the aisle in the church and sang it without mics. They did it this way because they liked the acoustics. It was awesome.
If you get a chance to see these people perform in person, DON"T MISS THEM!! If this performance moves you, you should feel it in person!!! We just saw them in Sellersville last month, and can't wait to see them again next month at The PSALM Salon in Philly. This IS the best part of (my) life!
Susan Werner is such an under-appreciated songwriter and musical talent. If you don't have "Last of the good straight girls," buy it immediately. This is a beautiful cover...
