Do you have to put alot of pressure on the "tension wrench" bit whats it called, the bit that throws the bolt.

How would a tool like this perform with a curtained lock. Would the tensioner move the curtain, allowing the tang to interact with the levers? or would the curtain prevent the tang from manipulating the levers?

@hateshiganaikurayami - you would need a curtain pick for curtained locks. The curtain is there specifically to make picking with a regular 2in1 type picks nigh on impossible.
See my other vids for examples of curtain picks - both commercial and homemade :)

Do you ever have to file down the tangs on these tools to accompdate different thicknesses of levers.

You need to file them down to accommodate the keyway (ie. warded/short keyways), but lever thicknesses tend to be the same from lock to lock.
