With the amount of Beutel & Grimsby era Eyewitness News footage on YouTube I'm genuinely shocked the only good video of Tex on here is in a commercial! No video of him at all doing the weather on Eyewitness 7 news???

From what I've read on other websites, Tex landed a short-lived weather job at another New York station, which was probably his last on-air job. He was found dead in his Manhattan apartment in 1983.

This guy was one of New York's most controversial TV personalities: As a weatherman at WABC in the 1970s, Tex Antoine made a rather distasteful remark on-air after a report on the rape of a young girl. He said, "When rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it!"
Quite frankly, I wouldn't trust my daughter to such a person.
