I guess this is genuine.. but it's hard to forget and try to believe when we know everything that MJ went through bc of his dad.. I mean that very relationship and abuse made him who he was during his final years... sigh.. He better tries to amend everything he did to MJ somehow or else..

I honestly believe this man loved his son. He wasn't the best parent because their is no such thing. He is a man from the generation that didn't dote over children, even though they may have loved them.

People don't understand the era Joe is from. Michael realized that his father created much of the pain for him, but he also realized that his father did his best and raised him in the only way he knew. An older man, but especially an older black man is not going to be lovey dovey. Just ain't going to happen. Mike wouldn't want you disrespecting his father, because he long forgave him and loved him.
