My favorite band, one of my favorite emcees, one of my favorite drummers...just love these guys. Screwed up numerous times, but I could careless. Such a fun song to jam to. I could play to this all day.

pretty good for less than a year. just a word of advice, the two-handed 16th note hi hat groove isn't used in hip-hop that much (if at all), or at least by ?uestlove as far as I know. and i agree, this is a really fun song to play to

@nickpick11 Depends on what you're talking about. In more jazzy, old school hip-hop like this, yeah 16th's are rare, but nowadays, 16ths and even 32nds are abundant.

Even though its not played right at all, your drumming skills for less than a year a great. I suggest really listening to the groove of the song, because its a very simple song, theres not much change in it. A good idea is to play michael jacksons bille jean, its just a straight groove song and its helped people to just play the song and not do ANY fills. A lot of people find it hard not too, and they get bored, personally i find it very easy because its just pure groove, you need to feel it!!

Hey dude, don't listen to the haters. You definitely got skills. My criticism (and it's only intended to be constructive) would be that you seem to get bored too quickly. Questlove is the man when it comes to a focused steady groove so if you wanna play like him try closing your eyes and listening closely to your ride cymbal pattern, which doesn't change for the whole song, and see if you can keep the groove as steady as he can. If you can you're on the right track! Keep it up man!
