Through visits to northeast Ohio art museums and schools and conversations with local artists, Sharing Art demonstrates real-world applications of techniques taught in middle and high school art classes.
Abstract Watercolor: Bette Elliot pours and squirts primary colors then tips the paper, brushes, blots and uses her fingers to manipulate the paint. She hopes for happy accidents that inspire her to create a finished work. The school project follows students as they experiment with several watercolor techniques. Produced in 2001.

@tkmaz I have some friends that are teachers and i have to say they need to get off there high horse and start to realize that there students are actually starting to get brighter then they are. I do not like the teachers saying "those that cant do teach" i wish teaching was something way more important than it is that kids myself included should of been taught how to paint or whatever by retired master painters. Our money system is screwed so art and art education suffers. Creativity+Money=ART

@casinohijack - they're older & there to learn. Had the kids been grade school age I'd agree with you. Art is with you or it's not, I had horrible art teachers but I can still create & enjoy doing so. As long as you're having fun (quietly or loudly) - that's all that matters really. Art is in the eye of the beholder. :)

Those kids are way way way to quiet for a art class. Where is the excitement where is the laughter where is the fun in art? If i were a art teacher in this class id try and ask kids what they thought of creative techniques of using the art supplies or creative ideas of what they could paint. Of course i failed every art class i took. I dont know if that says something for the art teachers i had?
