ROBOTO!

August 2009
826 Michigan at Robot Supply & Repair in Ann Arbor, Michigan held an intensive, week-long summer animation camp for teens led by Oscar-nominated animator & filmmaker Gary Schwartz. The students holed up in our basement for up to ten hours a day, and when they emerged they'd made: ROBOTO! an amazing two minute stop-motion film. ROBOTO! will be screened as part of a program of animated films made by youth throughout world under the auspices of ASIFA International through the (AWG) Animation Workshop Group at the 2010 Hiroshima International Animation Festival in Japan & the Annecy International Animation Festival in France.

ROBOTO! won top honors (BEST in SHOW) at the 43rd Michigan Student Film & Video Festival on April 30th, 2011 t the Detroit Film Theater
