@smitty1511 tractors with detroit diesels don't even make that much power. Probably gotta resleeve, girdle the block, stronger internals, bigger turbo, and then still risk blowing at random. An _awesome_ detroit diesel motor makes about 600hp and can pull almost a million pounds in tow (provided the tow load has wheels)

How much torque is that thing producing and what was done to the 6.0 to make that much power. Because my understanding was that the 6.0's being a smaller motor than any ford has gone with before came out of the factory tuned up all the way to the maximum hp that they could safely produce. At least that was what my father and I were told by Ford.
