Each year, about 3,700 moms choose to have their babies at Crouse Hospital. As the New York State-designated Level 4 regional referral center serving 15 counties in upstate New York for high-risk pregnancies (and high-risk infant care), Crouse is preferred throughout the region for obstetric services. And, with the highest level of care for children and new moms in the region, it's no wonder nearly half of all babies born each year in Onondaga County are delivered here at Crouse. Moms feel safer having their babies here - just in case they or their newborns need the special care only we can provide. In fact, we are the only hospital in Central New York with dedicated OB and neonatal specialist teams at the ready for mom and newborn. Thankfully, most births go as planned, so you probably won't need all these resources. But isn't it reassuring to know they're ready and waiting?
