  • Using the "daub-method" for applying thinset in a wet area is NEVER acceptable. That method is nothing more than a breeding-ground for mold and mildew behind the tiles. The original job was done by someone with no experience trying to cut costs and corners at every turn.

  • I have seen many tiling contractors actually do like this. Some would use cement paste instead, works fine if done properly. I suppose speed and costs saving are factors here.

  • @VideoMenu lol or at least read the box the adhesive came in...

  • wow.... people that do shit like this should just be beheaded by a samurai sword

  • hehe , one of the worst jobs ever , feel very sorry for the customer

  • You know, my brain always goes here but I just can't help it:

I'll bet these people vote. I mean, don't you think, "Water has to go somewhere, so spread adhesive evenly so it won't go behind the tiles. But I don't know what I'm doing, how about I read & learn about it first?"

No, just jump in wanting results without first learning. Let's dab a little adhesive on, take a shower and go vote afterward because we know what's best.

Sorry, stepping down from (skillfully constructed) soapbox now.

  • Mike Holmes would be pissed.

  • come on, he was in a hurry

  • ajj cowboys ready;-)
