Restored this Hummer,I had this bike in about 1965 and traded it for a car, found out who had it and no He was not innerested in selling, several years later he contacted Me and sold it to Me,it was real rough, been setting in His machinery boneyard for about fourty five years,He had pulled the engine and stored it which was a very good thing.this was the second warmup cycle and had three more to go before retorqing the head.
My dad had bought this for Me in 1965 for helping Him tear down an old three story mansion.

  • Thanks

  • Here is the best sources for parts, very few parts that can not be obtained new or old new stock.

Check out the "parts","how to restore" and the "exchange" for answers to Your questions. The search function works well to find answered questions that have been archived.

A very nice bunch of people to do business with.

  • sounds great man

  • Very nice restoration. Were the parts hard to find? I have the opportunity to buy a 1957 hummer and I need a good source for parts? Any help would be great!

  • I traded my red 1956 165 for a 1956 VW Beetle in 1968....

I had overhauled it in 1966.... a $50 bike, with $50 in parts...

    Rolled the Beetle in 1969... bought a '67 250 Sprint in 1970...
