Your last comment was the punchline! We can only REALLY enjoy our food if we are listening to our body. Our body WILL tell us when it is full. Then, when we stop, we can still move AND feel good about coming back in a few hours for more! LOVE that!
I love this message! As you say "you are going to do it anyway" so you might as well enjoy it. Nothing tastes good with a side of guilt - guilt from not getting to fully enjoy the food, guilt from eating too much, guilt from eating the "wrong" things. Being mindful and really being in the experience - which includes eating what you want on those special occasions - is a great way to (almost) have your cake and eat it too!
That is the best advice I have heard in a long time.....practical and sensible. The message I got from you today is: Mindfulness is the key to healthy eating. Thank you!
