Students began their day with morning Tai Chi, lead by Teacher Yan. The students presented Teacher Yan with Memphis memorabilia as thanks for his excellent instruction. Student counselor Sato then lead a class on traditional Chinese calligraphy. After the students' calligraphy class, they ventured to the the Shanghai Urban Planning Museum to learn about urban construction and architecture in modern China. Students then had the opportunity to try street food, and roam the famous Bund. After exploring the Bund, everyone had the opportunity to ride the Shanghai Ferry to a Tibetan Restaurant and enjoy a dinner show and authentic Tibetan cuisine.
