If you have one and the screen goes black then has a 4 blink code (leds next to the keyboard on left mid and top right) this means your video controller - on the MB - is bad. Check for loose wires but it is not really worth your time to dis-assemble the POS. Don't smash it, part it out on EBAY. The only thing you cannot sell is the MB. Take the $300 or so bucks you made and buy a better PC.

This PC is a POS but most importantly it is a REALLY BAD P O S! I have worked on many laptops but THIS ONE is VERY CHEAPLY MADE and has a known issue with the VIDEO CONTROLLER ERRORING.

First let's talk about the 2mm lightbulb. Yes 2mm (about 3 times the size of my fingernail and 17in long. Has mercury in it and yes will break if you look at it wrong). When I replaced one, I had to solder the end wires on. Enough said. Video card on MB.Avoid this and HP/Compaq at all costs or it will cost you.

Wow these new Turion II Ultras are really powerful. My friend bought one for gaming, and its really great. I am surprised they are so cheap too...
