..I was there there in 87 with Terry Story, Loel Collins etc...we used this video as a guide...some of the Grade 6 was sooo tight in Long boats...terry had Taifun.....plastic by then though...i was in a Gattino....that was short in those days...the following year I got a Topolino...and life changed forever

OMG this is when I was paddling as a kid! I remember those longer boats (the Perception "Dancer" was the shortest thing at the time). I also remember running creek drops that no one else would do... A special kinda crazy fun. Now I just feel old.

nobody is 'dissing' any one i think kayakerskayakdownrivers is just saying as it is every one forgets how long boats were and its amazing what people did in those boats its no wonder why vertical pins were so common

No, it was no first descent. As far as I know, which already descent in the 70s year.
